After our call, I’ll send you my Design Fee (which varies depending on the length and complexity of your trip, number of travelers, and other specific needs) along with my Terms and Conditions for approval before we get started. Then, I’ll dive into the research to begin pulling together your custom trip proposal. We’ll have another call or two as needed to go over your proposal, and I’ll incorporate all of your feedback into your final itinerary—so it’s a perfect fit.

Book
With your itinerary finalized, you can relax while I book and manage every aspect of your vacation. You’ll also receive touchpoints from me leading up to your departure with must-know info and inspiration about your destination, so you’re fully prepared for your trip.

Support
I’ll audit your itinerary one last time to ensure every “t” is crossed—then you’ll receive your final documents for departure! Once you’re off exploring, simply reach out to me if you need any assistance. You have my full support until your plane touches down back home.

Why should I book with a Travel Advisor instead of on my own?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed—don’t know where to start or simply don’t have the time to do trip research, then you’re in the right spot! We take all the details off your hands. In addition, we have alliance partners (tour companies and hotels) who maintain the same high standards we do, so your hand-picked property or excursion is sure to be a good fit. If, one the other hand, you’re a DIYer who loves to search for online deals, we’re probably not a good fit.

Do you charge a design fee for your planning services?
Yes, I charge a Design Fee, due before I begin researching your trip options. This fee varies depending on the length, complexity, group size of your trip, and other specific trip needs—I will share this with you after our complimentary Discovery call. The Design Fee covers my time spent researching and curating a custom itinerary for you, managing all of your travel logistics, and providing professional support every step of the way.
How soon should I begin planning my vacation with you?
Typically, the sooner the better—especially for bucket-list trips like African safaris or overwater bungalow stays in the South Pacific. Inventory at special boutique properties can fill up quickly, so it’s not a bad idea to begin planning a year out. If you’re not sure if it’s too soon(or too late) to begin planning, simply reach out and I’ll provide guidance.
Do you recommend getting travel insurance?
Yes, absolutely! I HIGHLY encourage my clients to purchase travel insurance to safeguard their trip investment—especially with the travel uncertainty caused by evolving COVID protocols. I will provide you with travel insurance options that align the right policy with your trip needs.
What about AinBnB and Home or VIlla rentals like VRBO?
We have a fantastic list of luxury home rentals and villas, from which to choose. We do not book AirBnb or VRBO as we can not vet each of the properties listed—and we don’t want you to have any unexpected or unpleasant experiences on your vacation.
Can you help me navigate the COVID situation in the countries I’m visiting?
Yes, of course! As an industry professional, I’m plugged into the latest guidance on COVID protocols and entry requirements. I’ll ensure you’re connected to the right information so you are fully prepared for your trip. I’ll also steer you to travel insurance options that can help you safeguard your vacation investment.
What kinds of vacations do you plan?

Will you research and book airline tickets for me?
Yes, currently we offer First or Business Class airfare. However, we do charge a $125 per person "Ticketing Fee" associated when requesting assistance with booking airfare.
Can you book travel using my “points”?
You’re welcome to book your own flights using points. At this time, we do not use a client’s points to book hotel stays. However, if you don’t have enough points to cover the length of time you want to stay at your hotel or resort, I can book the additional days for you.
How does a travel agent like you get paid?
My income is made through industry standardized commission paid to me by hotels, tour operators, and cruise lines after client travel has been completed. For a la carte services, such as airline tickets or chartering private jets or boats, curating private tours and/or experiences, securing tickets to sold-out events, booking dinner reservations and spa appointments, I will request a Design Fee and/or Ticketing Fee. In most cases, the price you pay through Luxe Travel is the same as you would pay by booking the hotel directly—with the added value of any perks or upgrades my company receives due to our alliance partners as well as my guidance and support throughout the process.
